Using the Pedego SA website is subject to the Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) as well as Privacy and Cookie Policy. By continuing to browse on our website, you accept these terms and conditions.

All transactions are subject to the Terms as at the date of the transaction.

Use of the website:

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for whatsoever reason.
  • Stefmia Industries reserves the right to update or change the contents of the website.
  • The user of our service cannot be a minor. Minors are not allowed to use this website.
  • The user undertakes not to use or duplicate any information on this website without the prior written permission by the owners of Stefmia Indusries.


Part 1 Format


The following definitions and rules of interpretation apply in the terms.

Delivery: The transfer of physical possession of the Equipment to the Customer at the Site.

Customer: The person or corporate entity who is taking physical possession the Equipment from the Supplier in accordance with the terms of this agreement.

Supplier: Pedego SA, Registration no 2019/037191/07, 42 Burne Crescent, Glenashley, DURBAN, South Africa.


Clause, Schedule and paragraph headings shall not affect the interpretation of this agreement.

Unless the context otherwise requires, words in the singular shall include the plural and in the plural shall include the singular.

Unless the context otherwise requires, a reference to one gender shall include a reference to the other genders.

A reference to a statute or statutory provision is a reference to it as amended, extended or re-enacted from time to time.

A reference to a statute or statutory provision shall include all subordinate legislation made from time to time under that statute or statutory provision.

A reference to writing or written includes fax and e-mail.

Any obligation on a party not to do something includes an obligation not to allow that thing to be done.

Any words following the terms including, include, in particular, for example or any similar expression shall be construed as illustrative and shall not limit the sense of the words, description, definition, phrase or term preceding those terms.

Part 2 Background

Pedego SA is a supplier of e-bikes and accessory equipment in Africa. Before considering a product ensure you understand the need and use of it and the specifications of such, before ordering it. In the use thereof, you need to comply with any laws of the country at all times.

The information on the website is updated on a regular basis, however, Pedego SA cannot be liable for any omissions or errors and the product ordered may differ from the photo due to upgraded or presence.

Part 3 Products and ordering a product

  • Prices are subject to change without notice and Stefmia Industries may decline an order in the event where the price has changed.
  • We will not be liable in the event of inaccuracies on the website and the buyer will have no recourse due to these inaccuracies.
  • The colours of an item as illustrated on the website may not be identical to the product received.
  • Stefmia Industries reserves the right to change the products and other offerings as well as the price without notice.

The website indicates the product, product description and specifications. It also indicates the selling price (which is dollar based) at that point in time, which may change from time to time without prior notice. The product may not be in stock when visiting the website but this will then be ordered from the manufacturer as soon as possible.

Before selecting a product ensure that this will satisfy your need. Evaluate the product specifications. Once you have identified your preferred product, select it and continue to checkout. Before paying for the product, please read and understand the terms and conditions of the sale covered herein.

Payment is made when the order is placed. Payment can be done using secure payment gateways as detailed on the secure payment page on the website.

Use of goods.

  • The buyer accepts that the use of the item purchased is of a dangerous nature and Stefmia Industries is indemnified against any claim resulting in the use of the product.
  • The buyer and user needs to familiarize itself with the conditions South African regulation SANS 311/2007. This include that bikes equipped with a motor capacity of more than 250W may not use it on a public road.
  • Clients and user undertake not to change or endeavor to change the preset settings on the bike.
  • Clients and users undertake to act in a responsible and safe manner in the use of their bikes. (See safety guide).
  • You may not use the products for any illegal or unauthorized purposes.

Part 4 Delivery and delivery fees.

We have good news. We offer free deliver to most areas in South Africa with a few exceptions which require surcharges. Free deliveries may not apply to products offered at a discount or at special prices.

The product will be delivered in a boxed format. The weight and the dimensions will vary from product to product. This information is available on the website under the particular product description. The product is in a semi-assembled format and the Customer needs to do or get the final assemble done, which in such case will be for the Customer’s account.

Part 5 Delivery Process

Delivery: Delivery will be done to the address supplied when placing the order or otherwise agreed, if such location is easily accessible.  When the product is to be shipped, contact with the Customer will be made by the Supplier to inform such or the planned delivery.

Damaged goods or boxes: When the delivery arrives please check the boxes and if they or the goods are clearly damaged you are able to refuse the delivery. Contact us to arrange for the replacement of the goods.

Check breakage/faulty goods: Ensure you have checked all the packaged items and if any are damaged or broken you need to contact us within 48 hrs to return or replace the damaged goods.

Part 6 The right to cancel and return

You have full right to cancel an order for goods and starts the moment you place your order and ends 7 days from the day you ordered your goods.

Exclusions to this include:

  • This does not apply to products ordered or made specifically to your specifications.

If the product does not comply with the goods ordered, it may be returned. The goods need to be in the same state as when it was delivered, unused and in the original packing. If the product has been used or you do not have the packaging, there will be a deduction from your refund to reflect the diminished value of the goods. The cost to return the goods will be for the account of the Customer.

Should the product be returned, Pedego SA has the right to deduct from the refund, a value that the product is worth less due to the condition it was returned in which include use, packaging or damages.

Part 7 Limited Warranty

All products supplied were carefully selected is covered by a limited warranty. For a period of 12 months after delivery of the product, Pedego SA warrants the product from defects of material and workmanship should the product be used as intended and serviced in accordance with the instruction manual supplied.

Although durable and reliable products are offered, the warranty covers only domestic use of such and excludes normal wear and tear. The warranty specifically excludes cases where the product was altered, modified, damaged, altered or repaired by any party excluding an authorized repair by Pedego SA or his agent or where the product was exposed to abuse or incorrect use and not properly maintained (as indicated in the instruction manual). The warranty applies to the Customer only and is not transferable. It also excludes unforeseen circumstances which include earth quakes, fire, lighting, accidents and flooding; and when the serial number is unreadable or changed/altered.

Your product warranty needs to be validated by registering the product as indicated on the website. Should you encounter a problem, we strongly advise to refer to your instruction manual for assistance. Do not repair the product yourself or by others as this will invalid the warranty. If the problem persists, call us for assistance.

Part 8 Data Protection and Data Processing

Both parties will comply with all applicable requirements of the Data Protection Legislation for further information in relation to the Supplier’s Data Protection Policy and Privacy Policy can be found on the website.

Part 9 Waiver

No failure or delay by a party to exercise any right or remedy provided under this agreement or by law shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy, nor shall it prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy. No single or partial exercise of such right or remedy shall prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.

Part 10 Rights and remedies

Except as expressly provided in this agreement, the rights and remedies provided under this agreement are in addition to, and not exclusive of any rights or remedies provided by law.

Part 11 Severance

If any provision or part-provision of this agreement is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted, but that shall not affect the validity and enforce-ability of the rest of this agreement.

If any provision or part-provision of this agreement is deemed deleted under clause above the parties shall negotiate in good faith to agree a replacement provision that, to the greatest extent possible, achieves the intended commercial result of the original provision.

Part 12 Jurisdiction

Each party irrevocably agrees that the Magistrate courts of South Africa and have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter or formation.

Return Policy

You may return most unused items purchased at within 7 days of the original delivery. We will pay the return shipping costs if the product is defective or the return is a result of our error. If the item is returned for any other reason, you are responsible for the return shipping costs and will be charged a restocking fee of 30 percent. No returned merchandise will be accepted without a Return Material Authorization (RMA). Request a RMA by email at Include your contact information and an explanation of the reason for return. We will credit you in the same manner as your original payment within 7 days of receiving the returned item.

Any used, damaged or unsalable items.

Please obtain return acknowledgement code from the head office before returning goods.

Technical Support

PEDEGO, LLC (“PEDEGO”) warrants that all new PEDEGO Electric Bikes (“Bikes”) and components therein are warranted to the original retail purchaser (“Purchaser”) against manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase.


PEDEGO ELECTRIC BIKES warrants to the original purchaser that the battery is free of defects in material and workmanship for 36 Months. The warranty period for a battery is calculated from the original battery purchase date. The original receipt of purchase is required to establish proof of purchase and warranty date, and must be provided to Pedego for all warranty claims.

The warranty for replacement batteries will be based on the original battery purchase date, as identified on the original battery purchase sale receipt. Under no circumstance will a replacement battery have a warranty date different than the original battery purchase date. If a replacement is necessary due to a defect in materials and/or workmanship, then upon return to PEDEGO ELECTRIC BIKES: The battery will be replaced free of charge if it becomes defective during the first year. After that, a new battery replacement Battery Replacement Price (New Battery Price at the Time of Return) divided by 1,905 (three years in days) times the number of days left on the three year warranty; For normal wear and tear

  • damage or failure from abuse, neglect, misuse, or accident
  • damage from stunt riding, ramp jumping, acrobatics, or similar activities or any activity that is not consistent with the intended use
    of the Bicycle
  • damages resulting from failure to follow Instructions for Use and Warnings as provided in the Owner’s Manual for the Bicycle
  • damages resulting from improper charging of the battery pack or use of any charger not supplied by PEDEGO
  • installation of any parts, accessories, or electrical component(s) not originally intended for or compatible with the Bicycle as sold, or any modification of the frame or any component(s) originally supplied; tires, brake pads, chains, lights, motors, battery packs, displays, or vehicle controllers that have been opened for any purpose whatsoever, other than by PEDEGO or its authorized agents; and the purchase or use of the Bicycle outside of the United States of America.
  • All warranties are void if the Bicycle is used for any purpose other than the reasonable intended use of the Bicycle. Additionally, this warranty does not cover damage associated with commercial use.

    Warranty work must be performed by PEDEGO or an authorized agent of PEDEGO. Proof of purchase must be provided. To qualify for warranty services, a Warranty Product Return Authorization Number (“WPRAN”) must be obtained by the original retail purchaser from PEDEGO. The original retail Purchaser must contact an PEDEGO representative to discuss the problem with the Bicycle and to obtain a WPRAN. Upon issuance of a WPRAN, the Bicycle or Bicycle component(s) must be returned to PEDEGO at its designated location for warranty work. The original retail Purchaser is responsible for the return of the Bicycle, undamaged in transit, to PEDEGO for warranty work and for the costs associated with shipping and insuring the Bicycle and component(s) when returning them. If PEDEGO’ authorized qualified technicians determine a warranty claim is valid and conforms with this warranty, PEDEGO will repair or replace component(s) or replace the entire Bicycle at PEDEGO’s cost, including materials and labor. For valid warranty claims hereunder, PEDEGO will reimburse the original retail Purchaser for shipping and insurance costs incurred as a result of returning the Bicycle to PEDEGO for warranty work at standard ground shipping rates, and PEDEGO will pay for shipping costs to return the Bicycle to the original retail Purchaser.
