How to get a Pedego?
A guide to picking the right bike
To make your choice easier we will categorize the bikes. The first question is what do you want to do with the bike and there may be more than one answer. That is okay. The bikes can be used for more than one purpose.
Is the focus on leisure?
The objective is to have the most fun possible. You just want to have a super comfortable ride to cruise around. Here you have 4 choices:
The Interceptor is a stylish cruiser with great features, but it is actually classified as an all-rounder. It is designed for a very comfortable ride with higher handlebars and a comfortable seat. It is offered with a powerful 48V battery and a 500W motor, producing ample power. It also features the Step Thru and Classic versions.
The Comfort Cruiser is the second of the cruiser range with a similar look and feel as the Interceptor. It features a 36V battery but still the 500W motor. This is a good value for money bike. Once again it comes in a Classic version and a Step Thru version.
The Ford Electric Bike is a flag ship cruiser with a unique design. Probably more suited for men due to its size, but ladies it may appeal to you too. High performance motor and battery comes standard with this award winning bike design.
The Boomerang is the final cruiser in the range. It also features a super comfortable ride but this bike was designed for a very easy mount. The step thru is only 23cm which is handy if an easy on and off the bike is important.
Is it a format of transport?
Whether you use this bike every day or occasionally, it offers an extremely comfortable ride. The bikes come standard with a 48V battery so there is more than sufficient power available. The City Commuter range includes different tire sizes. The 28” offers a great ride and is our default product. The City Commuter Step Thru is designed for those who want a quick and easy mount compared to the Classic.
You want to do some off road too?
This category offers the best of all worlds: a soft and comfortable ride on tar, gravel or off road. Also known as an all-terrain bike.
For a super soft ride on a hard surface or sand or beach travel, the Trail Tracker is the funky looking bike with those fat tyres. It is equipped with 48V battery to give ample power. The 26” is our default choice but smaller wheel sizes are also available.
The Trail Tracker also comes in a slightly different version called the Gorilla. It is a Trail Tracker but it offers the leisure comfort ride with the higher handle bars, making it somewhat of a cruiser too.
The Ridge Rider simulates a typical mountain bike, but it has the advantage of the electrical power. It is equipped with a front suspension and has a long range battery of 14 Amp Hours and power of 48V. This makes it one of the popular choices.
When you want to get serious you should consider the Elevate. This is a highly spec bike. It has a dual suspension and it is for those who are serious about what they want and do not want to compromise the abilities.
Do you want to cart something on the bike?
When you need more space to haul something, whether it is a basket for shopping or taking a pet for a ride, the Stretch is design to cater for this. It offers space both in front and the back to transport something of your choice. It is a solid bike and is capable of carrying 180 kilograms. It comes standard with a 48V battery but with extended battery life (Amp hours) as it provides for heavier weight.
